Introduction

Hi my name is Fergie Fulton and welcome to my site.
As a musician who plays bass this site is aimed to inform you of where and what i am doing as well as offer information about the Shows, Broadcasts, Lessons and Clinics i do.
You will also find links to other sites and companies i use and endorse so feel free to check them out.

The Bass Guitar is a sonic instrument, so you need to understand good technique.
Bass as a frequency appears in most forms of music, so you need to understand how and why bass works.
Learning to understand its many functions, nuances and applications is the badge of a great bass player

As a orchestra trained musician it was in 1975 i started using my training and education to play Bass.
So with over 35 years experience of playing from Live Band Performance, Studio, Theatre, Orchestra, Big Band and TV that has seen me win various awards, kept me in demand and earned the respect of my peers, i have a great deal to offer the modern player about the instrument and its uses.
Currently based in the UK, Braintree, Essex, i am avaiable and open for all bass playing offers regarding work or teaching

Had a great time in Europe, cold and snowy but everthing was great, check out the link for some footage from the the show at Blues aan Zee, Monster, Holland.
Also running order for the Free Open Bass clinic at

Trevor Durrant Guitar Centre, @ The Cowdray Centre, Colchester. Format will be easy going in the forms of playing demos, talks, advice etc but split into four catagories, so players can pick the times for what interests them.
Each session will address some of the techniques and problems in each of the genres being highlighted. These genres are some of the most popular on the current music scene in East Anglia so will be relevant to many players. Each clinic will have songs from each of the listed genres played and ideas on how and why to play them. The idea is to keep them short and sweet so players can pick and choose the genres and times to suit them and to keep the afternoon fresh. There will be time in between each clinic to ask questions or advice before the next one starts. Ideally each one should last approx 45mins, so that's a 15 min. break before each one.
Running order will be
12.00 (mid-day) till 1.00, Blues
1.00 till 2.00 Rock
2.00 till 3.00 Funk
3.00 till 4.00, Soul
for details go to
www.tdguitars.com or call 01206 765777
